Cho, SuJeong (조수정, b. 1981)

Su Jeong Cho, born in 1981, is active as a composer and educator, teaching related courses in classical and jazz composition at Seoul Institute of the Arts located in Seoul, South Korea. She received a bachelor’s degree in classical composition from Chung-Ang University in Korea. She studied with Prof. E-Je Park, also got an academic award. After finishing her degree, she moved to US and earned her master’s degree in jazz composition and arranging from University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she studied with Dave Loeb and Joe Lano. While attending at UNLV, she received Isabelle Emerson Awards for outstanding jazz graduate recital.
As a composer, Su Jeong Cho keeps her working zealously in classical music as well as jazz, and her music has published and released as scores and CDs every year since 2011 to present.
